Blackwall Raises $100M at $2.2B Valuation

Estonian cybersecurity startup Blackwall has raised a $100M Series C led by AVP, valuing it at $2.2B as websites battle rising bot and AI-agent traffic.

Estonian cybersecurity company Blackwall has raised $100 million in a Series C funding round that values the company at $2.2 billion. The round was led by AVP, with existing investors Dawn Capital, MMC Ventures and Tera Ventures also joining.

Why the raise matters

The valuation is four times higher than Blackwall's previous fundraise in 2025, according to executive chairman Roi Carthy. Websites are dealing with a flood of bot traffic, and AI agents going rogue have made the problem worse. Blackwall builds tools that help hosting providers protect their customers' sites from this unwanted traffic.

How Blackwall works

Blackwall does not sell directly to websites. Instead it partners with web hosting, managed service and cloud providers. These providers bundle Blackwall's security tools and offer them to their own customers under their own branding. The company offers a free tier that shows customers the traffic and threats hitting their network, and charges for the protection tools that fix the problems. Its services include threat intelligence, certificate management, DDoS protection and traffic routing.

Fighting AI agent traffic

One of Blackwall's newer jobs is telling real visitors and legit AI agents apart from malicious bots. Co-founder and CEO Nikita Rozenberg said the company uses digital fingerprinting to identify the software behind each request, and its own AI models to judge the intent and behavior of requests. Looking ahead, Rozenberg sees agents interacting and paying on websites on behalf of their users as a major opportunity. That will need systems that decide which agents get access, on what terms, and how they can make payments.

What comes next

Blackwall plans to use the new funding to expand across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, and to build more security tools for hosting, cloud and managed service providers.
