Nvidia and TCV Back AI Video Startup Higgsfield
Nvidia and TCV joined Higgsfield's Series B extension. The AI video platform has 40 million users, $1B annualized revenue, and engineers in Kazakhstan.
AI video startup Higgsfield has attracted new investment from Nvidia and TCV, extending its Series B financing round. The company announced the extension on October 23, 2026. The funding will support product development, global infrastructure, hiring, and go-to-market expansion. Neither the size of the extension nor the company's latest valuation was disclosed.
What Higgsfield does
Higgsfield is an AI-native video and image creation platform for brands, agencies, studios, and professional creators. It is headquartered in San Francisco and has deep roots in Kazakhstan through the Astana Hub, where much of its engineering work is done. The platform brings leading video, image, and audio models together with the company's own creative technology, turning AI compute into finished commercial work. Brands and agencies, including Fortune 500 companies, use it to turn a single campaign concept into as many as 100 ad variants for different markets and platforms. Higgsfield now has more than 40 million users across 238 countries and territories. The United States is its largest single market, and Europe is its largest region by usage. Eighteen months after launch, the company crossed $1 billion in annualized revenue in September, and Bloomberg reports that 10 million paying customers joined since its summer fundraising.
Why Nvidia and TCV invested
The extension builds on Higgsfield's Series B round in August, led by DST Global, which raised $400 million at a $5.4 billion valuation, according to Bloomberg. Nvidia is already a long-time infrastructure partner: Higgsfield has scaled end to end on Nvidia hardware from the L40 and A40 GPUs through the Hopper and Blackwell generations, and is now expanding to Nvidia Vera Rubin. The timing is tied to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's first visit to Kazakhstan for the country's national AI Month in Astana. Higgsfield was co-founded by Alex Mashrabov, who previously co-founded AI Factory - the computer vision company behind Snapchat's Cameos and face filters, acquired by Snap in 2019 - together with Kazakhstani AI engineer Yerzat Dulat and Mahi De Silva. The company says it is the first AI unicorn connected to Kazakhstan, calling it a major milestone for AI in the country. TCV is a growth-stage fund that has backed Netflix, Spotify, Facebook, ByteDance, and Electronic Arts. TCV general partner Neil Tolaney said the fund is investing because Higgsfield offers "a radically faster, professional-grade and AI-native mechanism for creators, brand marketers and agencies alike to turn ideas into images and video."
What is next
Higgsfield says it will use the new funding to develop products, expand global infrastructure, hire more staff, and grow its enterprise business, which the company says is its fastest-growing segment. With video generation booming - WPP Media forecasts global advertising revenue will reach $1.3 trillion in 2026, with AI as a primary driver - the startup is betting that demand for visual content will keep growing with personalization.
