POCO X8s Launches: Compact Phone With 100W Charging
POCO has listed the X8s for pre-order in Vietnam: a compact 6.35-inch phone with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, 100W charging and IP68, priced from about $313.
POCO has quietly listed a new compact phone, the POCO X8s, for pre-order in Vietnam through Xiaomi's official Shopee store, ahead of any formal announcement. It is the smallest member of the POCO X8 series so far, and it brings the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, 100W fast charging and an IP68 rating to the mid-range.
A compact phone in a big-phone lineup
The X8s is the fifth model in the POCO X8 series, following the X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max that launched in March and the X8 and X8 Power from September. Its 6.35-inch OLED display is small by today's standards, making it a rare compact option in a lineup of large handsets. The phone keeps things slim at 8.06mm thick and weighs 187 grams, with a metal frame and a design that resembles the Redmi K90. It comes in White, Black and Blue.
Key specifications
- Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 - Display: 6.35-inch OLED - Camera: 50MP main camera with an 8MP ultrawide - Battery: 6,330 mAh with 100W fast charging - Durability: IP68 water and dust resistance - Software: HyperOS, based on Android 16
Price and pre-order offers
Two configurations are listed in Vietnam. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs VND 11,500,000 (about $437), while the 12GB RAM + 512GB model is VND 14,000,000 (about $532). Launch vouchers cut those prices to about $313 and $387 respectively. Early buyers also get a free pair of Redmi Buds 6 Play while promotional stocks last. First units are scheduled to ship between November 6 and November 9.
Availability
For now, the X8s is a Vietnam-only pre-order. The device has appeared in international certification databases under the model number 2609CPC5FG, but POCO has not confirmed launch dates or pricing for any other market.
