Before your first deployment, sketch the application, its data and how people access it. A small plan helps you understand what each cloud resource is for.

List the building blocks

A basic web application may need a place to run, a data store, configuration, access rules and monitoring. Identify which of these your application actually needs.

Separate secrets from source

Do not put credentials in public code or browser JavaScript. Use protected configuration for services that need them.

Check the result

Test the application, inspect logs, verify access rules and review costs. Remove temporary resources after the experiment.
